The Most Defining Episode of the Stranded Technologies Podcast
Re-Release of Ep. 20 with J. Storrs Hall ("Where is My Flying Car?")
Bringing Back A Future Past With Flying Cars, Nano-Robots and Multi-Level Cities By Nurturing A Techno-Optimist Culture and a Unleashing Second Nuclear Age
This is everything the podcast is about. Yet I did not know about J. Storrs Hall before I started it. Trey Goff told me about the book, and I was immediately hooked.
Having “Josh” on the podcast was a defining moment - if you want to know what the podcast and my work is about, this is the episode!
It now has better audio quality and a more organic flow of conversation.

Why is this future not here yet?
Why do you even ask the question this way? This is not realistic.
Or is it?
Josh’s book is so potent because he doesn’t “just” envision this kind of future.
This is coming from a serious AI and nanotech engineer who intimately knows the physics and learned the mechanics of flying airplanes and went on to study the history of the technological development of VTOL - the backbone of flying cars.
It’s not just “singularity, everything will be accelerated, rapid change, blablabla”, it’s like “based” tech accelerationism, without making unrealistic assumptions.
Yet still arriving at the conclusion: much, much more is possible.
