Do you want to help us build a startup city?
Prospera is one of the first of its kind. It’s located on Roatan / Honduras, a Caribbean paradise island. I’m organising a little expedition of entrepreneurs from around the world to help build Prospera into a model startup city.
Startup cities or charter cities are an idea by Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Romer, with the goal to experiment more with better economic and political governance. Role models are places like Dubai, Shenzhen or Hong Kong.
It’s an exciting idea, and the people behind Prospera are ambitious. They want to create a thriving city and the easiest place to do business in the world. More details you can find in this article by Scott Alexander, a famous blogger.
I had a couple of conversations with the founders, and people engaged in the community. They are bringing lots of investment there, but I thought what they’re not doing enough of yet is engaging entrepreneurs to come and build solutions.
I found another soul, an entrepreneur from California, who thought the same thing after seeing Prospera on the ground. We took it on ourselves to start this little expedition, and the people behind Prospera loved the idea.
They need more real estate, logistics, supermarkets, finance / crypto solutions, legal solutions or more initiatives to bring business there. Lots to do!
We’re only sharing this within our networks, friends and friends of friends - if you’re interested or know fellow entrepreneurs who might be, come join us!
