Got plans for New Year's Day? Watch this classic John Cleese short movie with me
Jan 1 (12am EST / 6pm CET) on YouTube
I founded a business called MetaMeet, with the goal to end the meeting madness.
When I started researching the meeting problem, I stumbled upon an old short movie starring John Cleese from 1976 called “Meetings, Bloody Meetings.”
This movie has obsessed me since.
Not because it’s hilariously funny.
It obsessed me because the advice on how to fix the meeting problem seems so obviously correct.
I posted short clips on YouTube. Thousands of commenters agreed that John Cleese’s “Five-step plan to have better and shorter meetings” is just what’s needed.
If every manager just did it this way, there would be no bad or unnecessary meetings.
Yet why is this not happening? Why did time in meetings in fact increase by around 100% since John Cleese made the movie?
This is what I want to find out. This is why I founded MetaMeet.
I’d like to invite you to see the full movie (30 minutes) with me and join me on this journey to end the meeting madness!
The date for the premiere is: Jan 1, 12am EST / 6pm CET .
